MAGIC is an innovative educational programme designed to inspire students from primary to high school to engage with real-world global issues and develop solutions that can make the world a better place. The first edition of the program is launched in December 2024. So far, the programme has become a true journey of ideas, collaboration, and inspiration for students from Grades 3 to 10 who want not only to learn about the world – but to change it.
What is MAGIC
An annual educational programme that prepares students to become active global citizens. At its core lies an inquiry-based approach combined with teamwork, leadership, and global thinking. The goal? To amplify the voices of young people as they explore urgent topics like poverty, ocean pollution, and access to education – and propose real, actionable solutions.
The Year in MAGIC
Participants go through a series of monthly workshops, discussions, and meetings with inspiring guest speakers. With the support of mentors and peers, they:
- Explore key topics from the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs);
- Build critical thinking, research, and collaboration skills;
- Create a “Blueprint for Change” – an official document summarising their proposed solutions to global challenges.

- Designing visual info boards that reflect deep research;
- Hosting Zoom conferences with peers from other schools;
- Working in small international teams, learning to communicate, debate, and co-create.
MAGIC Conference
The programme culminates in a two-day conference where students present their ideas and work in committees to draft a shared Global Action Plan. The event features:
- Discussion sessions focused on collaborative decision-making;
- Inspiring guest speakers sharing personal and professional experiences in addressing global challenges;
- A fun disco party – celebrating friendship and youthful energy!
More Than a Project – A Movement for the Future
MAGIC is not just an educational programme. It’s a movement. A space where young people discover their power to make a difference. Throughout the process, they develop vital 21st-century skills – communication, creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking – while gaining a deep understanding of how global issues affect us all.
Beyond IB, Beyond the Classroom
The MAGIC Conference welcomes students from international schools across Bulgaria and Southeast Europe. It offers a unique opportunity for intercultural exchange, idea-sharing, and creative collaboration. If you believe young people can spark meaningful change.
