The Magic of Change Is Real – And It’s Student-Led

On May 17–18, Discover International School proudly hosted MAGIC 2025, the first annual edition of our flagship student-led initiative: Movement for Activating Global Impact through Collaboration. Held at our school campus and the Marinela Hotel, the event brought together students, educators, thought leaders, and change-makers for two days of dialogue, inspiration, and action.

This year’s conference was more than a gathering – it was a celebration of student voice, creativity, and global thinking. From Grades 3 to 10, participants took the stage with confidence, presenting months of hard work, passionate research, and powerful ideas that respond to some of the world’s most pressing challenges.

MAGIC is not a one-time event – it’s the culmination of a year-long educational journey grounded in the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Since its launch in December 2024, MAGIC has offered a platform for students to research real-world problems, explore diverse perspectives, and design collaborative solutions.

Throughout the school year, participants engaged in:

  • Monthly workshops on global topics such as ocean pollution, poverty, access to education, and sustainable transport;
  • Inter-school Zoom sessions and cross-border collaborations with peers representing different European countries;
  • Creation of visual info boards and Blueprints for Change – student-authored policy proposals.

MAGIC is more than a project — it’s a movement for the future. It empowers students not only to learn about the world but to shape it. As one participant shared,

This conference made me feel like my voice matters. I didnt just learn about global problems — I became part of a solution.”

We are deeply proud of all students, mentors, and supporters who brought MAGIC 2025 to life.

The journey continues, and we can’t wait to see what sparks of change will ignite next.
